At the end of the day, when it’s all been said and it’s all been done and it’s time to rest our bodies and recharge our souls…
When the day has been long and the work has been hard and the disappointments seem too heavy…
These are the things that make everything right…
It’s the ball and mitt…the taking of time to show ‘em how it’s done.
It’s a smile and a hug…it’s a little one catching a ball for the first time.
It’s lambs in the barn…
and sleeping babies…
It’s not the new car parked in the driveway and it’s not the fancy new phone. It’s not the money in the bank (however large or small it may be…)
It’s the small things that give us hope. It’s these things that speak of eternity, of passing on what’s learned and watching new life grow. This is where God whispers:
Slow down…you don’t want to miss this
